More than 60,000 people visit our arts center each year to experience our exhibitions, take classes, see films, and meet prominent photographers and filmmakers.

The Light Factory touches thousands of lives, including underserved youth who are a major focus of our education and outreach programs. The image above is a perfect example--taken by TLF's Director of Education, Charles Thomas while in South Africa working on the Freedom Box Project. The project brings together students from schools in Johannesburg, Capetown, Soweto and Charlotte to create a photographic exhibit reflecting their experiences with segregation and integration.
